GF Preston LTD. was established in 1958 by Grant Fredrick Preston. Through the years Grant formed a partnership with his son Don Preston, in 1988 Don took over the business entirely.
In 2024, Don formed a partnership with his son Chad Preston. The Preston legacy continues for a 3rd generation.
Chad Preston grew up in the heavy equipment industry and has taken over the general manager position within the business, while overseeing the day to day operations.
GF Preston LTD. has grown substantially our service department has grown to 5 technicians and 2 apprentices. We currently have 5 fully equipped service trucks to meet the demands of mobile service.
Our parts team has grown to 4 technicians, all of whom bring industry-related experience.
We service the surrounding municipalities and townships, as well as our extensive private customer line reaching; Sudbury, Temiscaming, Manitoulin Island, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Muskoka, Haliburton, and Simcoe districts. Some of our major contracts include Fowler Construction, Lafarge Canada, and Ferrovial Services.
